Osprey Kestrel 68 L/XL Men’s Backpacking Pack
Description
Osprey Kestrel 68 L/XL Men’s Backpacking Pack
The Osprey Kestrel 68 L/XL is a durable men’s backpack for extended trekking, demanding terrain and equipment-intensive outdoor work. Its close-to-body AirScape™ carrying system and LightWire frame provide stable load transfer while allowing efficient movement through narrow or uneven environments.
The 68-litre L/XL version fits torso lengths of approximately 48–58.5 cm. A full front U-shaped opening, separate sleeping-bag compartment and floating lid make packed equipment accessible throughout longer journeys.
Key Features
- Adjustable AirScape™ back length
- 3.5 mm peripheral LightWire frame
- Full front U-zip access to the main compartment
- Floating top lid with zipped storage and attachment points
- Fit-on-the-Fly adjustable hipbelt
- Sleeping-bag compartment with floating divider
- Integrated, removable raincover
- Hydration-reservoir sleeve with Hydraclip
- Stow-on-the-Go trekking-pole attachment
- Dual ice-tool loops and front daisy chains
Stable Load Carrying
The LightWire frame transfers weight towards the padded hipbelt, while the structured framesheet distributes the load across the back panel. Mesh-covered ridged foam provides ventilation without moving the backpack away from the body.
Access and Organisation
In addition to top loading, the large U-shaped front opening provides direct access to the main compartment. The pack also includes stretch side pockets, a front shove-it pocket, zipped hipbelt pockets, compression straps and removable sleeping-pad straps.
Weather Protection
The supplied raincover is stored in a zipped compartment at the base. It uses bluesign® approved fabric with a water-repellent treatment made without PFAS. The backpack itself remains water-resistant rather than fully waterproof.
