Osprey Soelden 32 Men’s Backcountry Ski Backpack
Description
Osprey Soelden 32 Men’s Backcountry Ski Backpack
The Osprey Soelden 32 is a lightweight technical backpack developed for all-day ski touring and backcountry snow sports. Its men’s-specific carrying system combines a peripheral LightWire frame, structured framesheet and supportive hipbelt for a stable fit during ascents and descents.
Rear-panel access separates the main dry-storage area from externally carried equipment, while dedicated attachments accommodate skis, a snowboard, helmet, ice tool and sled. Avalanche-rescue equipment is organised in a separate front compartment and must be purchased separately.
Key Features
- Rear-panel access to the main compartment
- Separate avalanche-tool organisation pocket
- Diagonal and A-frame ski carry
- Vertical or horizontal snowboard carry
- Stowaway helmet carrier
- Secure ice-tool sleeve with toggle and bungee
- Internal GPS or radio storage with microphone attachment points
- Soft-lined goggles and accessories pocket
- Sled-carry attachment loops
- Removable front-panel straps
Stable Technical Carry
A 2.5 mm peripheral LightWire frame and HDPE framesheet transfer the load while retaining freedom of movement. Contoured EVA shoulder straps, padded hip wings and a sternum strap with safety whistle provide a close, activity-specific fit.
Flexible Equipment Organisation
The main compartment includes a side sleeve for a thermos or small items and a zipped storage pocket. One side of the hipbelt has a zipped pocket, while the other provides a gear loop. The removable front straps reduce the pack weight by approximately 25 g when not required.
Recycled Technical Fabrics
The main and bottom fabrics use third-party-certified, 100% recycled ocean-sourced nylon. The pack is a bluesign® PRODUCT, and its DWR-treated fabrics are made without intentionally added PFAS.

Can it carry both skis and a snowboard?
Yes. It supports diagonal or A-frame ski carry and vertical or horizontal snowboard carry.
How is the main compartment accessed?
The compartment opens through the back panel, allowing access without placing the harness directly onto the snow.

Is the backpack waterproof?
Its materials are highly weather-resistant, but the complete backpack is not specified as fully waterproof. Protect sensitive contents in waterproof inner bags.
