The Esbit Cookset with Alcohol Burner CS985HA is a compact and versatile outdoor cooking set for camping, hiking, backpacking, trekking and travel. Designed for use by 1–2 people, it combines a 985 ml main pot, a 470 ml second pot that also serves as a lid, a brass alcohol burner, a hard-anodised aluminium stand, a solid fuel support tray and a convenient mesh storage bag.

The included brass alcohol burner has a screw cap, fold-away handle and adjustable flame regulator. Compact Outdoor Cooking System

This Esbit cookset is designed as a complete compact cooking system. The stand, burner, support tray and both pots can be packed inside each other, reducing bulk and keeping the set organised during transport.

The included mesh bag helps hold the components together in a backpack, camping bag or travel kit. The compact format makes the set particularly useful for lightweight camping, hiking, emergency cooking kits and outdoor meals for one or two people.

Two-Pot Design

The large pot has a capacity of approximately 985 ml and includes an internal scale in millilitres and ounces. This makes it easier to measure water for drinks, dehydrated meals, soups or simple camp cooking.

The smaller 470 ml pot can be used as a second cooking vessel, eating bowl or lid for the larger pot. Using it as a lid helps heat food or water faster and can reduce fuel consumption.

Hard-Anodised Aluminium Construction

The CS985HA version is made from hard-anodised aluminium. This material is lightweight, durable and well suited to outdoor cooking equipment where low pack weight and good heat transfer are important.

The pots should be cleaned by hand. They are not dishwasher-safe and should not be cleaned with metal sponges, aggressive detergents or abrasive cleaning products.

Foldable Handles with Silicone Coating

Both pots are equipped with foldable stainless steel handles. The handles are covered with a silicone coating intended to reduce heat transfer and improve handling comfort.

The handles and pots can still become hot during use. Always handle the cookset carefully and allow all parts to cool completely before packing.

Brass Alcohol Burner Included

The included brass alcohol burner is designed for use with denatured alcohol. It has a screw cap for transport and a flame regulator that can be used to reduce, increase or extinguish the flame.

The burner may be filled to a maximum of approximately 2/3 capacity, or about 70 ml. A full 70 ml filling provides a maximum burn time of about 30 minutes. Approximately 50 ml of denatured alcohol can bring around 900 ml of water to a boil within about 10–15 minutes, depending on conditions.

Solid Fuel Tray Included

The hard-anodised aluminium version includes a support tray for use with original 14 g Esbit solid fuel tablets. This provides an alternative fuel option when denatured alcohol is not preferred or available.

One 14 g Esbit solid fuel tablet provides a burn time of approximately 10–15 minutes and can heat approximately 400 ml of water or warm food, depending on environmental conditions.

How to Use

1. Place the stand on a level, firm and non-flammable surface outdoors.
2. Place the pot in the designated opening of the stand.
3. Remove the flame regulator and unscrew the burner cap.
4. Fill the burner with denatured alcohol up to a maximum of approximately 70 ml.
5. Place the filled burner into the stand.
6. Ignite the burner carefully.
7. Regulate the flame using the flame regulator by adjusting the opening.
8. Use the small pot as a lid when suitable to improve heating efficiency.
9. To extinguish the flame, remove the pot and cover the burner flame with the closed flame regulator.
10. Allow all components to cool completely before cleaning or packing.

Using the Solid Fuel Tray

1. Place the stand on a level, firm and non-flammable surface outdoors.
2. Place the solid fuel support tray into the designated opening in the stand.
3. Place the pot in the stand.
4. Place one original 14 g Esbit solid fuel tablet on the tray.
5. Ignite the solid fuel tablet carefully.
6. Allow all components to cool fully before cleaning or packing.

Only original 14 g Esbit solid fuel tablets should be used with the support tray.

Important Food Preparation Notes

• The CS985HA aluminium version is not suitable for preparing foods with high salt or acid content.
• Do not prepare foods such as stewed apples, tomato purée, rhubarb or marinated herrings in this set.
• Do not cook food in salted water.
• Use unsalted water only.
• Add salt only after the food has been prepared.
• Do not heat the pots when empty, as this may damage them.
