The Cold Steel Pro Lite Clip Point is a practical everyday folding knife designed by custom knifemaker Andrew Demko. It combines a corrosion-resistant German 4116 stainless steel blade, a lightweight glass-fibre-reinforced nylon handle and Cold Steel’s Tri-Ad® locking mechanism in an affordable, durable format.

The satin-finished clip-point blade measures approximately 8.9 cm and is suitable for a broad range of lawful everyday, outdoor and utility cutting tasks. The black GFN handle provides a secure gripping surface while keeping the total weight to approximately 91 g.

A reversible stainless steel pocket clip allows the knife to be configured for left- or right-handed carry. The integrated lanyard hole offers an additional attachment option.

Clip-Point Blade

The Pro Lite features a versatile clip-point blade profile with a defined tip and gently curved cutting edge. This shape is suitable for controlled slicing, detail work and general utility cutting.

The approximately 3 mm blade thickness provides a practical balance between cutting performance and structural strength.

German 4116 Stainless Steel

The blade is made from German 4116 stainless steel, a fine-grained steel known for corrosion resistance, ease of maintenance and straightforward sharpening.

Its balanced carbon and chromium content allows the steel to take a fine edge while remaining comparatively easy to resharpen with appropriate equipment. This makes it a practical choice for everyday and outdoor use.

Cryogenic Heat Treatment

Cold Steel applies a sub-zero cryogenic treatment to the 4116 stainless steel blade. This process is intended to improve the consistency, hardness and durability of the heat-treated steel.

Actual edge retention and cutting performance depend on the material being cut, sharpening angle, maintenance and manner of use.

Tri-Ad® Locking Mechanism

The Pro Lite is equipped with Cold Steel’s Tri-Ad® lock, a reinforced back-lock design developed to provide secure blade retention during normal use.

No folding-knife lock is completely failure-proof. Users should always keep their fingers away from the blade path, confirm that the lock is fully engaged before use and avoid twisting, prying or impact loads.

GFN Handle

The approximately 11.4 cm handle is made from GFN, or glass-fibre-reinforced nylon. This durable synthetic material offers low weight, resistance to moisture and good structural rigidity.

The matte black handle includes an integrated lanyard hole and textured surfaces intended to improve control during routine cutting tasks.

Reversible Pocket Clip

A stainless steel pocket clip is included and can be configured for left- or right-handed users. This allows the knife to be adapted to individual carrying preferences where lawful.

The clip and its screws should be checked regularly and tightened carefully if necessary. Carrying a knife in public may be restricted by local law even when the knife is fitted with a pocket clip.
