The Haller Viking Sword is a steel historical-style sword supplied with a leather sheath and designed for display, collection, historical reenactment and controlled staged-combat practice.

Its forged blade is made from 1050 carbon steel and hardened to approximately 50–55 HRC. Instead of a sharpened cutting edge, the blade has an approximately 2.5 mm thick striking edge and a rounded safety tip.

The steel guard and pommel complement the traditional appearance, while the grip is wrapped in leather. The blade construction is secured at the end of the handle with a recessed sleeve nut. A leather sheath with carrying loops is included.

Important: Although the blade is blunt and the tip is rounded, this is a heavy steel sword and not a harmless training toy. It can cause serious or fatal injury if used carelessly or with excessive force.

Forged 1050 Carbon Steel Blade

The blade is forged from 1050 carbon steel, a medium-carbon steel suitable for durable historical-style blade construction. Its stated hardness of approximately 50–55 HRC provides a balance between hardness and resilience.

Carbon steel is not stainless. Moisture, fingerprints, sweat and unsuitable storage conditions may cause corrosion. The blade should therefore be cleaned, dried and protected with a light layer of suitable oil after handling or use.
