The Origin Outdoors Hiking Water Filter is a lightweight and compact portable filtration system designed for hiking, trekking, camping, travel and emergency preparedness. It can be used directly as a drinking straw or connected to compatible PET bottles, giving outdoor users several practical ways to filter water while on the move.

The four-stage filtration system combines replaceable hollow-fibre and activated-carbon filter elements. With a pore size of 0.1 micron, the filter removes up to 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.999% of parasites and 99.999% of microplastics. It also reduces turbidity caused by sediment, sand and other suspended particles.

The filter is backwashable, allowing accumulated particles to be flushed from the hollow fibres. Regular backwashing helps maintain water flow and extend the service life of the filter. Replaceable filter components are available separately.

Important Limitations

This filter is intended for suitable freshwater sources. It does not make every type of contaminated water safe to drink.

• Do not use for seawater or other saltwater.
• Do not use for water contaminated with oil, fuel or chemicals.
• Do not use water collected near industrial areas.
• Avoid water near intensive agricultural or large-scale land operations where chemical contamination may be present.
• The stated filtration performance does not mean that all dissolved chemicals, salts or viruses are removed.
• Whenever possible, choose the clearest and cleanest available freshwater source.
• Always follow the supplied operating and cleaning instructions.
