The BOA® Fit System is a modern footwear closure system that replaces traditional shoelaces with a durable lace, low-friction guides and an adjustment dial. Depending on the footwear model, the system uses either a highly durable textile lace or a nylon-coated, stranded stainless-steel cable.
The BOA system allows footwear to be adjusted quickly and precisely to the foot — even in cold weather or while wearing gloves. Even tension helps provide a secure and comfortable fit, while micro-adjustment makes it possible to change the level of tightness whenever necessary.
How do you use the BOA system?
- Pull up the adjustment dial to release the system, then pull the tongue of the footwear forward.
- Place your foot inside the footwear and push the dial down to engage the system.
- Turn the dial in the indicated direction until the footwear fits comfortably and securely.
- To remove the footwear, pull up the dial and loosen the lace.
Please note: some BOA dial models allow the tension to be adjusted in both directions. Exact operating instructions may vary, so we also recommend consulting the instructions for your specific footwear model.
The BOA system is particularly suitable for hunting, hiking, work and outdoor footwear. It eliminates problems caused by untied or frozen shoelaces and makes footwear easier to put on and take off.
